Val Verde Air Monitoring Program is a registered 501(c)3 organization based in Los Angeles County. Our primary mission is to monitor local ambient air quality within Val Verde and the neighboring communities surrounding the Chiquita Canyon Landfill - and to provide particulate matter data during fire season.
VVAMP operates a network of continuous air monitors, strategically measuring levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and PM 2.5. Our commitment extends to monitoring particulate matter during the fire season, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of air quality dynamics.
Central to our values is the fundamental belief in every individual's right to breathe clean air, regardless of their ethnicity or place or residence. Equally vital is the right-to-know, which we defend by making accurate air quality information accessible on this site.
